This exam sets different age limits for different posts. You are checked against every band below, and the result says which posts your age admits you to.

  1. 18–27Group C posts: Auditor, Accountant, Postal/Sorting Assistant, Senior Secretariat Assistant, Tax Assistant and others at Pay Level 4 and 5
  2. 20–30Assistant Section Officer in CSS, Railways, MEA and AFHQ; Sub Inspector in CBI
  3. 18–30Most Group B posts: Assistant Audit/Accounts Officer, Inspector (Income Tax, Central Excise, Posts), Assistant Section Officer in other ministries, Statistical Investigator Grade II and others
  4. 18–32Junior Statistical Officer, Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation
