This exam sets different age limits for different posts. You are checked against every band below, and the result says which posts your age admits you to.
The upper age limit of 30 applies to the Junior Research Fellowship only, counted on 1 December 2026, with up to five years’ relaxation for OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD/PwBD and third-gender candidates and for women. There is no upper age limit for Assistant Professor eligibility or for Ph.D. admission.
