About this exam
The Constable (Executive) Male and Female in Delhi Police Examination is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for Delhi Police. SSC holds the computer based examination (CBE) and shortlists candidates; the Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT) and Document Verification (DV) are then conducted by Delhi Police itself.
The 2025 examination carries 7,201 vacancies: 4,189 for men in the Open sub-category, 271 for ex-servicemen (Others), 365 for ex-servicemen (Commando) and 2,376 for women. The notice of examination had listed 7,565 tentative vacancies; the figures above are the ones the result was processed against.
The CBE was held from 18 December 2025 to 6 January 2026 in several shifts, so marks were normalised. To be considered, a candidate needed at least 35 marks (Unreserved), 30 (SC, ST, OBC and EWS) or 25 (ex-servicemen), without NCC bonus marks. Bonus marks for NCC certificate holders and holders of an RRU degree or diploma are added only in the final result, and only for those who produce the documents at the PE&MT/DV stage.
SSC runs separate Delhi Police examinations for Head Constable (Ministerial), Head Constable (AWO/TPO) and Constable (Driver); this page covers Constable (Executive) only. Results are published on ssc.gov.in, and the PE&MT schedule and admission certificates on delhipolice.gov.in.
