About this notification

The Staff Selection Commission has released the result of the Physical Endurance Test and Physical Standard Test (PET/PST) for the Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and CAPFs Examination, 2025, commonly known as SSC CPO 2025. The notice is dated 29 October 2026, and candidates who cleared this physical stage move on to Paper-II.

How the PET/PST went

The Paper-I result, declared on 30 March 2026, had made 48,387 unique candidates eligible for the physical stage. The CAPFs held the PET/PST between 21 and 30 July 2026. The Commission’s summary of the outcome:

  • Qualified: 10,676
  • Not qualified: 10,622
  • Absent: 26,949
  • Result withheld: 136
  • Temporary unfit: 4

More than half of the shortlisted candidates did not turn up for the physical test.

Who can sit Paper-II

The Commission has published two lists of candidates eligible for Paper-II:

  • List-I, female candidates: 518 in total (EWS 102, SC 73, ST 42, OBC 185, UR 116). This figure includes the 4 female candidates whose result is kept as temporary unfit.
  • List-II, male candidates: 10,298 in total (EWS 1,779, SC 1,733, ST 831, OBC 3,932, UR 2,023), with 1,189 ex-servicemen shown separately.

Some OBC candidates in both lists are counted as OBC for Delhi Police but as UR or EWS for the CAPFs, as the notice explains in its footnotes.

The results of 136 candidates are withheld for various reasons on the recommendation of the nodal force, BSF; their roll numbers are in List-III. Separately, 97 candidates whose cases are pending in courts are allowed to take Paper-II provisionally. Sitting the paper does not give them any claim to final selection, and their outcome depends on the court decisions. Their roll numbers are printed in the notice itself.

What happens next

Paper-II is tentatively scheduled for 28 November 2026. Admission certificates will be issued later by the Commission’s regional offices, so qualified candidates should keep checking the SSC headquarters website and the website of their regional office. Candidates should check their roll number in List-I or List-II of the official notice before preparing for the paper.
