About this notification
NTA’s public notice of 16 October 2026 invites online applications for NIFTEE 2027 — admission to NIFT’s Undergraduate (B.Des., B.F.Tech.), Postgraduate (M.Des., M.F.M., M.F.Tech.), NIFT Lateral Entry (NLEA), Artisans and Ph.D. programmes for the 2027–28 academic session. The exam is proposed across 100 cities, in Computer Based Test (CBT) and Pen-and-Paper Based Test (PBT) modes as applicable to each test component; Ph.D. candidates are additionally required to appear for a Written Test and a Research Proposal Presentation and Interview (RPPI) conducted by NIFT.
Applications are submitted online only, with a recent photograph, signature and other documents in the prescribed format; Aadhaar-based e-KYC and a live photograph may be required during the process, and PwD/PwBD candidates must upload a valid UDID card. Registration runs from 16 October to 16 November 2026, with a late window (₹5,000 extra) to 21 November and corrections to the submitted form open 22–25 November. The Advance City Intimation Slip is due 21 December 2026, admit cards from 4 January 2027, and the entrance exam is on 10 January 2027. Exam centre, date and shift will be as printed on the admit card; the display of recorded responses, answer keys and the Stage 1 result date are yet to be announced.
The notice does not state the base application fee (only the ₹5,000 late surcharge) or the detailed eligibility criteria — age, qualifications, subject combinations and category conditions are in the NIFT Admissions Guidelines–2027 and the NIFTEE–2027 Information Bulletin, which candidates are advised to read before applying.
