NIFTEE (NIFT Entrance Examination) 2027

NIFTEE (NIFT Entrance Examination) is conducted by the National Testing Agency on behalf of the National Institute of Fashion Technology. It is an admission exam, not a recruitment — there are no vacancies or posts; candidates who qualify are admitted to a degree programme, not appointed to a job.

Stage 1 covers five categories: Undergraduate programmes (B.Des. and B.F.Tech.), Postgraduate programmes (M.Des., M.F.M. and M.F.Tech.), NIFT Lateral Entry Admissions — NLEA (B.Des. and B.F.Tech., lateral entry), the Artisans category (B.Des.) and Ph.D. admissions. The exam for the Academic Session 2027–28 is proposed across 100 cities in India, in Computer Based Test (CBT) and Pen-and-Paper Based Test (PBT) modes depending on the programme. Ph.D. candidates additionally sit a Written Test followed by a Research Proposal Presentation and Interview (RPPI), both conducted by NIFT directly.
