Scheme and conduct
The paper is bilingual (Hindi and English) except the two language sections. The minimum qualifying marks apply to Section B only; there is no minimum in Section A, and the merit list is made from the two sections together. Scores are normalised where required (DSSSB Notice of 11.07.2018). A tie goes to the candidate with more marks in Section B, then to the older candidate, then to the first name in alphabetical order. Candidates choose between the Directorate of Education and NDMC when e-dossiers are called; allotment is by merit-cum-preference, and there is no waiting panel.
