About this notification
The Central Selection Board of Constable (CSBC), Bihar published the written-examination result for Advertisement No. 02/2026 — Constable (Operator) on 18 August 2026. The 993 posts are in the “Bihar Police Telecommunication (Wireless) and Technical Non-Gazetted Cadre”, in the Bihar Police radio organisation, at pay level 3 (₹21,700–69,100).
5,966 candidates are shortlisted for the physical efficiency test (PET). Roll numbers are listed category-wise in the result PDF.
How the exam went, from the result notice:
- 3,18,518 applications were registered and 2,82,823 were valid; admit cards were issued to all of them.
- The written examination was held in a single shift on 28 June 2026 at 544 centres in 38 districts; 1,28,482 candidates appeared.
- 28 candidates were disqualified for malpractice, leaving 1,28,454 whose answer sheets were evaluated.
- Candidates needed at least 30% to qualify. About five times the vacancies in each category were called for the PET, and everyone tied on a category’s cut-off marks was included — which is why the number is 5,966 rather than the 4,965 planned.

What comes next: the PET — a 1-mile run in 6 minutes for men (1 km in 6 minutes for women), high jump and shot put, each to be passed separately — is qualifying only and carries no marks. Height and chest are measured and documents are verified on the PET day itself, with no second chance. The final merit list is drawn up from the written-examination marks. The PET date, time and venue will be published separately on the Board’s website, where the PET admit cards will also be available; none are sent by post.
