About this notification
By its notice of 9 September 2026 the Commission had fixed the written examination of the Preliminary Eligibility Test 2026 (Advertisement No. 16-Exam/2026) for 23, 24 and 25 October 2026, in two shifts each day.
A further notice of 25 September 2026 informs all candidates that, for unavoidable reasons, the examination will instead be held on Sunday 25 October, Friday 30 October and Sunday 1 November 2026, with the same two shifts — 10:00 to 12:00 in the forenoon and 15:00 to 17:00 in the afternoon.
Both notices say the issue of admit cards will be communicated separately through the website in due course. The home page also carries an “advance intimation of exam district” link for the PET.
