UPSC IES/ISS 2026 Written Result Out — Interview Schedule Awaited
UPSC declared the written result of the Indian Economic Service / Indian Statistical Service Examination 2026 on 4 August, in separate roll lists for the IES and the ISS. Qualified candidates had to update their application form between 11 and 25 August. The personality-test schedule has not yet been published; the notice lists 16 IES and 28 ISS vacancies.

- 21 to 30 years — born not earlier than 2 August 1996 and not later than 1 August 2005.
- Qualification
- IES: a postgraduate degree in Economics, Applied Economics, Business Economics or Econometrics. ISS: a bachelor's degree with Statistics, Mathematical Statistics or Applied Statistics as one of the subjects, or a master's degree in one of them.
About this notification
The Union Public Service Commission declared the result of the written part of the Indian Economic Service / Indian Statistical Service Examination 2026 on 4 August 2026, in two roll lists — one for the IES and one for the ISS. The written examination was held from 19 to 21 June 2026. Candidature is provisional, and qualified candidates must bring original certificates to the personality test.
UPSC’s window for qualified candidates to update and finally submit their application form ran from 11 to 25 August 2026 (6:00 pm); a candidate who did not submit is not allowed into the further stages.
The personality-test schedule had not been published on UPSC’s page for the examination as of 12 October 2026. The examination notice lists tentative vacancies of 16 in the Indian Economic Service (one reserved for PwBD) and 28 in the Indian Statistical Service (two reserved for PwBD), liable to alteration.
