About this notification
State Bank of India’s preliminary result for its 2026 Probationary Officers recruitment (advertisement CRPD/PO/2026-27/09) lists the roll numbers shortlisted for the main examination on 12 September 2026.
The main examination is an objective test of 200 marks in four timed sections — Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General Awareness/Economy/Banking Knowledge and English Language — followed by a 30-mark descriptive test typed on the computer. Candidates up to about three times the category-wise vacancies go on to Phase III: a psychometric test, a group exercise (20 marks) and an interview (30 marks), tentatively in October/November 2026. The final merit list adds the main examination and Phase III marks; preliminary marks are not counted.
The advertisement lists 1,500 vacancies: 1,446 regular (SC 216, ST 108, OBC 390, EWS 144, UR 588) and 54 backlog (SC 18, ST 36). SBI’s corrigendum of 1 July 2026 removed the clause on adverse CIBIL credit history from the advertisement.
