Level of the paper
Post Graduation level for Assistant Commissioner, Principal, Vice-Principal and PGT; Graduation level for TGT, Administrative Officer, Finance Officer, Assistant Engineer, Assistant Section Officer, Junior Translator, Stenographers and Senior Secretariat Assistant; Senior Secondary level for PRT, Junior Secretariat Assistant and Lab Attendant. Tier-1 is a qualifying screening test: candidates are shortlisted for Tier-2 at 1:10 of the notified vacancies.

Subject syllabus
A separate Tier-2 for each post, in Hindi and English (in the language itself for PGT Modern Indian Language and TGT third language). The notice does not print the subject syllabus: it is published post-wise on the KVS and NVS websites under Recruitment. Interview (100 marks, 85:15 weightage) or skill test follows for the posts that have one.
