IBPS notified CRP RRBs-XV on 1 September 2026 for Group A Officers in 28 Regional Rural Banks. The vacancy table in the notification now on ibps.in lists 4,256 Officer Scale I, 1,047 Scale II and 220 Scale III vacancies (5,523 in all, indicative); the 25 September Annexure I had 5,535, with 12 more Scale II posts. Registration closed on 27 September after an extension; the preliminary examination is tentatively in November/December 2026.

- Officer Scale I: above 18 and below 30 (born 2 September 1996 to 1 September 2008). Officer Scale II: above 21 and below 32 (born 2 September 1994 to 1 September 2005). Officer Scale III: above 21 and below 40 (born 2 September 1986 to 1 September 2005). Both dates inclusive.

- SC/ST 5 years, OBC (non-creamy layer) 3 years, PwBD 10 years; ex-servicemen commissioned officers with at least 5 years' service 5 years, subject to the notification's conditions.
- Qualification
- Scale I: a bachelor's degree in any discipline, with proficiency in the RRB's local language. Scale II General Banking: a degree with at least 50% and two years as an officer in a bank or financial institution. Scale II specialists: the degree or certificate the notification sets for each post (IT, CA, Law, Treasury, Marketing, Agriculture) plus one or two years' experience. Scale III: a degree with at least 50% and five years as an officer in a bank or financial institution. Qualifications held as on 21 September 2026.
About this notification
IBPS notified the Common Recruitment Process for Regional Rural Banks (CRP RRBs-XV) on 1 September 2026, covering Group “A” Officers in 28 RRBs. Officer Scale I candidates take an online preliminary and main examination followed by a common interview; Scale II (General Banking Officer and the specialist posts) and Scale III candidates take a single online examination followed by the interview. A candidate may apply for only one officer post.
The indicative vacancies were updated three times — on 9, 15 and 25 September. Annexure I as on 25 September 2026 listed, across the 28 banks, Officer Scale I 4,256; Officer Scale II 1,059; Officer Scale III 220 — 5,535 in all. The notification file now on ibps.in carries a later table: Officer Scale I 4,256; Officer Scale II 1,047 (General Banking Officer 666, IT 182, Chartered Accountant 81, Law 46, Treasury Manager 18, Marketing 16, Agriculture 38); Officer Scale III 220 — 5,523 in all. IBPS has issued no corrigendum explaining the change and prints no grand totals; these figures are the sums of the bank-wise rows. Allotment will follow the vacancies the RRBs actually report.
Registration, first due to close on 21 September, was extended by the corrigendum of 21 September and closed on 27 September 2026. The notification’s tentative schedule: pre-exam training in November 2026; preliminary examination in November/December 2026, its result in December 2026 / January 2027; main or single examination in December 2026 / January 2027; result and interview call letters in January 2027; interviews in January/February 2027; provisional allotment in February/March 2027.
