About this notification
CBSE issued a public notice on 14 September 2026 confirming that the 22nd edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test will be conducted on 12 and 13 December 2026.
Two things follow from that notice, and both are stated as periods before the exam rather than as fixed calendar dates:
- Examination city and your allotted exam date will be published on the CTET portal 15 days before the examination.
- The admit card, which carries your examination centre, will be available for download from the CTET portal two days before the examination.
Because candidates are allotted either 12 or 13 December, the exact day your admit card appears depends on which date you are given. The notice does not name a single release date, and neither do we — check the CTET portal from early December.
Applications for this cycle are closed. After the first window (11 May to 10 June 2026), applications were reopened from 25 August to 1 September 2026, and the correction window ran from 7 to 10 September 2026 (CBSE public notice of 7 September 2026).
