About this notification
The Indian Air Force has declared the result of AFCAT 02/2026, the online examination held on 8 August 2026. There is no merit list PDF: the AFCAT portal states that candidates “can view their individual result by logging in through the AFCAT portal using their registered login credentials”.
GATE Score Entry. The cut-off for GATE Score Entry has also been declared. Applicants who meet the prescribed minimum GATE cut-off go to the Air Force Selection Board stage through that entry and do not need to qualify AFCAT; their status is shown in the same login.
AFSB seat selection. Candidates who qualified for the selection board had to log in and choose their preferred AFSB date and place between 17:00 on 10 September and 23:59 on 14 September 2026, subject to the seats available. After choosing, they download the call-up letter and the mandatory forms, which the portal links as a separate PDF.
Under the AFCAT 02/2026 notification, the boards sit at Dehradun (1 AFSB), Mysuru (2 AFSB), Gandhinagar (3 AFSB), Varanasi (4 AFSB) and Guwahati (5 AFSB).
How this was checked: the AFCAT portal announces the result in a news ticker with no date, so the date above is the date the portal last changed and the day seat selection opened. The result itself was out on or before then.
