The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board is conducting the Physical Endurance Test (PET) for the shortlisted candidates for the post of Warder (For Male only), Post Code 15/25, Delhi Prisons under Vacancy Notice / Advertisement No. 01/2025 dated 04/07/2025, which notified 1,676 posts.
Venues. Sports Complex East Vinod Nagar, Delhi-110091 and Thyagaraj Sports Complex, INA Colony, Delhi-110003. Entry to Thyagaraj Sports Complex for the PET is permitted only through Gate No. 6 — no other gate is to be used.
Dates and reporting. The schedule runs from 12.09.2026 (Saturday) onwards, with two shifts each day — Shift-I reports between 07:30 and 08:00 AM, Shift-II between 09:30 and 10:00 AM. The e-Admit Card may be downloaded from 04.09.2026 on dsssb.delhi.gov.in; candidates with any difficulty may contact the Board office in person on 08.09.2026 and 09.09.2026 between 11:00 AM and 03:00 PM, or by email at dsssb-secv@nic.in up to 08.09.2026 (01:00 PM). Candidates must report strictly as per the date and time on their individual e-Admit Cards. The General Instructions for Post Code 15/25 were uploaded by the Board on 18.08.2026.
The test. As set out in Advertisement 01/2025, the PET is a 1,600-metre race in six minutes; those who qualify go on to a 13-foot long jump and a 3’9” high jump, with three chances for each. The Board states there is no appeal against the PET. Ex-servicemen are tested against an age-banded standard — 6, 7 or 8 minutes for the race, and jumps that scale accordingly. Candidates must satisfy themselves of the physical standard (height 170 cm, chest 81–85 cm expandable by 5 cm, with the user department’s clarification that a minimum 5 cm expansion is mandatory) and medical standard (vision 6/6 both eyes without glass, free from colour blindness, and no bow-leg, knock-knees, flat-feet, varicose vein or squint); the Board does not conduct the physical measurement or the medical examination.
What to carry. The original e-Admit Card and an original valid Government photo-ID proof carrying the date of birth printed on the e-Admit Card; if the photo-ID does not carry the date of birth, an additional original document (Matriculation Certificate or Marks Sheet issued only by CBSE/ICSE/State Boards, Birth Certificate or Category Certificate) proving the date of birth. The Board advises candidates to wear a vest or T-shirt for the chest badge and appropriate running shoes.
